This UVC in-duct unit is designed to be installed by your local HVAC servicing company or handyman. Once installed, the ultraviolet germicidal light comes into contact with airborne pathogens (fungi, mold, bacteria, and viruses) that circulate throughout a home.
The unit is externally mounted on existing ductwork, with the UVC bulb enclosed in the duct. As air passes through the light, airborne microbes are killed. Better, healthier air quality is the result.
Studies have shown that cooling coils and air ducts can become a breeding ground for mold, mildew, and harmful bacteria that are too small to be filtered out with a standard furnace filter. Over time, this buildup can lead to toxic air quality throughout a home’s forced-air heating and cooling system. This UVC fixture can help prevent this buildup of harmful pathogens.
